Representatives of the UN Foundation for suppression Violence Against Women visited … IZ KRUGA – VOJVODINA (UN Trust Fund to end Violence Against Women)  within the framework of the visit to the implementers of supported projects from Serbia, they visited the organization … IZ KRUGA- VOJVODINA, as one of the fifteen local partner organizations of the Autonomous Women’s Center in Belgrade in the implementation of the project Zero Tolerance on Gender Based Violence.

The project Zero Tolerance for Gender-Based Violence is financially supported by the United Nations Foundation for the Suppression of Violence against Women, and is implemented with the recommendation of the Anti-Discrimination and Violence Group of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. The project is being implemented by the end of 2018 and the long-term goal is to increase the experience of young girls’ safety from sexual and gender-based violence. Project activities are implemented in 15 cities in Serbia and include work in 30 secondary schools and 8 faculties. Key areas of action include working with teachers, working with young people to increase knowledge and performing public action, working with faculties in the field of preventing sexual harassment and conducting awareness campaigns.

… IZ KRUGA – VOJVODINA, as a local partner organization of the Autonomous Women’s Center, within the project Zero Tolerance for Gender-Based Violence, in 2016 and 2017, implemented three-day workshops with female students at two secondary schools in Novi Sad: Medical School 7. April and High School Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj.

The results achieved with high school students are an increase in the recognition of partner violence, an increase in knowledge of forms of assistance and support in the event of violence, as well as the skills to convey the acquired knowledge of the unacceptability of violence in school or community.

The partnership with the Autonomous Women’s Center in the implementation of the project Zero Tolerance for Gender-Based Violence has given the organization … IZ KRUGA – VOJVODINA in the local area increased visibility as an organization that deals with the prevention of violence and promotes the development of cooperation with high schools and youth.
