Representatives of IZ KRUGA VOJVODINA, Svjetalana Timotic and Veronika Mitro, participated in the introductory training about preconditions for the inclusion of persons with disabilities that took place in Vrsac from November 7 to 10, 2022. and online on November 22, 2022.
The training is part of the preparatory phase of the joint UN project supported by the Partnership on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNPRPD), in association with 6 UN entities (UN WOMEN, UNDP, ILO, UNICEF, UNFPA and OHCHR), Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs and National Organization of Persons with Disabilities.
Participants in the training had a chance to get familiar with the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and The Sustainable Development Goals, as well as with the preconditions for the inclusion of persons with disabilities in public policies and making systemic changes at the national level. The representatives of the United Nations team in Serbia, public institutions, organizations of persons with disabilities and other significant actors in the implementation of the project participated in the training.
