A Consultant on the SOS Line Completed a Training for Planning and Running Workshops


Miladinka Mijatovic, a consultant on the SOS line of IZ KRUGA VOJVODINA, completed training for planning and running workshops. Infopolis a youth info center organized it on February 5 and 6 in the premises of their counseling center.

The workshop was intended for young people from 15 to 30 years of age with the aim to familiarize them with the characteristics and forms of workshops and skills needed for professionally running the group. Participants learned how to prepare the scenario for planning and running the workshop, recognize traits of difficult participants that can influence the group dynamics and prevent achieving defined goals and create a positive atmosphere in the learning process.

During the training, participants prepared and ran a workshop on chosen topics implementing methods and techniques learned at the workshop. Miladinka Mijatovic held workshop on sexual violence against women with disabilities in which she spoke about models of disability, sexual and reproductive rights of women with disabilities, barriers they face when reporting violence and recommendations for providing support for women with disabilities in situations of violence. After the workshop Infopolis gave her a certificate.

Novak Stanisic, a Master in Pedagogy, an assistant in youth work programs and a Points of You Methodology Practitioner ran the workshop.
