Workgroup for the development of the Local Action Plan for Prevention and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence in Novi Sad for the period 2023-2025. has been formed by Mayor’s decision. A member from IZ KRUGA VOJVODINA is the coordinator of the SOS service Ivana Zelic.
The workgroup consists of 16 more representatives of organizations and institutions: Commission for Gender Equality of the City of Novi Sad, City Council for General Affairs, Local Ombudsman of the City of Novi Sad, City Council for Social Protection, Children and Family Welfare, City Council for Health Care, City Council for Education, City Council for Economy, Legal Aid Bureau, National Employment Services – Novi Sad branch, Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office, Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office, Police Administration of Novi Sad, civil society organization Novosadska zenska inicijativa (Women’s Initiative of Novi Sad) and City Council for General Affairs – The Office for Cooperation with Civil Society.
Nada Padejski Sekerovic, manager of the Safe Women’s House of the Center for Social Work of the City of Novi Sad presides over the workgroup.
The local Action Plan will be in accordance with the Strategy for the prevention and combating gender-based violence against women and domestic violence for the period 2021-2025. and will regulate domains of prevention, health and social protection, help and support of the victims of violence and economic empowerment of women.
