A member of the Steering Wheel of IZ KRUGA VOJVODINA, Olivera Pejak Prokes, invited the head of the Law department of the Faculty of Law and Business Studies Dr Lazar Vrkatic, Assoc. Ph.D. Zoran Vavan to a meeting to discuss the possibility of long-term formal cooperation. The Faculty of Law and Business Studies Dr Lazar Vrkatic has been informally supporting the work of IZ KRUGA VOJVODINA by sending their students to participate in the organization’s public events relevant to their professional development. The latest such event was Internationa Conference Why Do We Need Disability Studies? which was attended by several students from the Law, Security and Crime Science, and Business Psychology study programs.
The meeting held on February 9, 2024. in the premises of IZ KRUGA VOJVODINA, Veronika Mitro, a program manager, and Svjetlana Timotic, an executive director, attended in addition to Olivera Pejak Prokes and Zoran Vavan.
Veronika Mitro acquainted the guest with the development, capacities, services, and contemporary activities of IZ KRUGA VOJVODINA and presented the lasting cooperation the organization has with high educational institutions in the country and the world.
The Faculty of Law and Business Studies Dr Lazar Vrkatic fosters the mission of its founder and makes an effort to develop in a sense that not only does it hires renowned professors and experts at each department and awards scholarships to the best students but also implies the work on developing and introducing new study programs that are missing in academic education, and the cooperation with other educational programs, successful companies, institutions, courts and civil organizations where students may acquire practical experience and additional knowledge. This is where the possibility for cooperation between our faculty and IZ KRUGA VOJVODINA lies – emphasized Zoran Vavan.
The conclusion is that establishing formal cooperation between The Faculty of Law and Business Studies Dr Lazar Vrkatic and IZ KRUGA VOJVODINA might be beneficial for both parties. A proposal of a Memorandum about cooperation will be defined in the following period and sent to the relevant bodies of both parties for adoption.
