Info center …IZ KRUGA – VOJVODINA provides information about rights, benefits, services and types of support for persons with disabilities, members of their families and citizens interested in this area. Associates provided 35 services in total from July 1 to September 30, 2021.
17 women (eight with and nine without disabilities) and 7 men (five with and two without disabilities) received services from the Info center, 15 of them had 1 service and 9 persons 2 services. Most persons with disabilities had a physical disability, while one had a mental disability. Persons without disabilities addressed the center about the rights of their parents, children, or other members of the family.
The most common reasons for calling the center were informing about the rights in social care (help and care at home, foster care for adults, placing into a nursing home and getting benefits). The Info Center is often a link between beneficiaries and other support services and institutions (Social Welfare Center, Pension and Disability Insurance Fund, Community Health Centers, other NGOs and institutions, psychological support services, or legal help).
A higher percentage of beneficiaries addressed the center by phone (54%), but a number of them used other channels (46%) Facebook, Viber, Instagram, SMS and e-mail. Older adults less commonly use the internet to address the info center, they favor communicating by phone because they get the needed information instantly.
Most calls come from the cities (69%) and less from rural areas (31%). The phone calls are primarily from Vojvodina (Novi Sad, Sombor, Vrbas, Temerin, Putinci, Petrovaradin), but some were from other regions in Serbia (Doljevac and Novi Pazar).
